Move Types & Access Guidelines
See The Rules, Chapter 10 and the application forms for more information. The Rules apply equally to tenants and owners. Only one move per application. The application applies to moves between units.
Move In / Move Out
A Move-in or Move-out is the move of a resident. The application and fee cover administrative costs, parking registration processes, and security registrations and equipment, as well as processes to protect common areas and building security.
A resident’s move may include as little as a “suitcase” or as much as the entire Unit’s furnishings.
Furniture Moves
Furniture applications are for the use of established residents. The application is for large single items.
Examples:
- Items too large to carry or that will not fit into a red shopping cart
- Major appliances
- Bed set or sectional couch (including removal of replaced items)
Larger accumulations of furniture or appliances would require a Move In/Move Out application. If you are not sure, ask.
Note: Hand-carried items or furnishings that will fit into a red shopping cart do not require an application.
Contractor Supplies and Materials Moves
Contractor applications are separate from notices of Unit remodeling or renovations.
They are required for:
- Supplies and materials too large to carry or fit into a red shopping cart
Contractors may not use the association’s red shopping carts.
Applications should reflect the time frame for delivery and removal. A renovation may require multiple delivery/removal applications if such actions span more than two contiguous days or involve movements one intervening day apart.
Note: Hand-carried tools, supplies, or material replacement/removal as part of a renovation or repair do not require an application.
